Use the 1/4" for subway tile, smaller formats, and tile under 12". Reach for the versatile 3/8" on everyday installations, including common 12" × 24" tile. Step up to the 1/2" when installing large-format tile that requires a heavier mortar bed.
Always confirm proper mortar coverage by periodically lifting a tile during installation. Tile size, tile condition, substrate flatness, mortar selection, and site conditions may affect the required trowel size.
Traditional trowel handles can sit too close to the front teeth, creating a tight area where thinset collects and becomes difficult to remove.
We moved each Euro-Flat handle back from the working edge to create more open space around the front teeth. This helps reduce thinset buildup and makes the trowels easier to clean and maintain after every installation.
