At approximately 1mm thick, the Ultra-Thin design reduces the amount of tile the bit has to remove compared with a thicker-wall hole saw.
Less material in the cutting path means less resistance as the diamond rim works through the tile.
That's especially important when you're staring at an expensive piece of porcelain you really don't feel like replacing.
