Put Water Exactly Where You're Cutting.

Cutting porcelain, stone and masonry dry can generate enormous amounts of airborne dust—including respirable crystalline silica dust.

Hydro-Tail™ was built to fight it at the source.

Hydro-Tail is a universal water-delivery and dust-suppression attachment that mounts to compatible power tools and directs a controlled stream of water directly at the blade and cutting surface.

Instead of allowing cutting dust to become airborne, water captures a significant amount of that dust where it's being created—helping reduce the amount of silica-containing dust you can inhale while you work.

At the same time, water keeps your blade and cutting surface cooler, helping reduce excessive heat and extend the life of your diamond tools.

REDUCE DUST. COOL THE TOOL. CUT WET.

ONE MISSION: YOU.

  • Silica Dust Suppression — Wet cutting helps dramatically reduce airborne dust, including respirable crystalline silica generated when cutting materials such as porcelain, stone, brick and masonry.

  • Water at the Source — Directs water right where dust is being generated instead of trying to control it after it becomes airborne.

  • Brass Nozzle — Durable brass-tip design provides controlled, directional water delivery for demanding jobsite use.

  • Keeps Diamond Tools Cooler — Water helps control excessive heat during cutting, drilling, grinding and shaping.

  • Helps Extend Diamond Tool Life — Cooler operation can help reduce overheating, glazing and premature diamond-tool wear.

  • Universal Attachment Design — Designed to mount to a wide range of compatible handheld power-tool setups.

  • Adjustable Water Direction — Position the stream directly where your application needs it.

  • Portable Wet Cutting — Pair Hydro-Tail™ with Hydro-Tank™ when a traditional hose connection isn't practical.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Wet cutting is an important method for reducing airborne respirable crystalline silica dust, but no single dust-control accessory eliminates all exposure.

Always follow applicable OSHA requirements, tool and material manufacturer instructions, and appropriate workplace exposure-control practices.

When using water around electric power tools, use the correct equipment for the application and appropriate GFCI protection. Always use the proper blade guard or shroud and required personal protective equipment.

ONE MISSION: YOU.

Hydro-Tail™ wasn't created to make your grinder look cooler.

It was created because tile installers shouldn't have to stand in a cloud of dust just to make a cut.

Put the water where the dust starts.

I barely use my wet saw now.

This is incredible. Especially when cutting large format tiles it provides the most predictable cleanest way to cut. Even 1/2” x4’ cuts are easy

Awsome product

Awsome product. Should've bought this a long time ago. My lungs thanked me 🙂

Almost Good

Unit make a nice spray but the sprayer tip is the flimsiest plastic available. I broke it in 10 seconds. The website does not appear to offer a replacement. Allegedly there is a brass tip option but I am not going to buy an entire new hose assembly to slip a new shark bite style tip on the hose.

Whip it Good

This wet whip will wet your whetstone while you whistle for sure!
Solid adjustment with the brass tip and the combo of the hydro pressure tank I can almost forgo using my DeWilted 360000000000.

Works great but the orange ones break easily.

I Love using it for large format tiles! Makes life much easier!

Broke first use

The plastic tip broke the first use on the tail. I purchased this with “kitchen sink” bundle and I’m this failed after the first use. It sat at the job site unused.

An absolute must for anyone installing large format tile or fabricating slab on site

As a tile installer and stone slab fabricator/ installer dust control is key for many factors especially when fabricating the really hard materials like quartzite, black granite, porcelain, and cintered materials like dekton keeping the blade cool is just as important as not inhaling dust and silica. It prevents the blowout on the bottom edge of your cut and really minimizes chipping, blade warp, diamond glazing, and literally burning the matrix on the blade. Ive tried so many different water feeds and I am VERY pleased with how this one performs. I see this lasting the long haul and will bring that high quality finish with much less effort

Trial and error first, then fine tuning, great concept

The first one i bought leaked out of every connection, it took me an hour to get it to just dribble and then while adjusting spray adjustable spray tip broke right off
I did like the pump water tank that mates to the hydro tail so i ordered another hydro tail
i have not tried it yet but i am hoping this one does not leak and i wont try to route the spray using just the nozzle
the hydro tail and accesory tank/pump is a great concept. After i do some fine tuning it will work great, i hope
i did manage 1 cut with first hydro tail and no dust, what a difference, usually i am in a cloud of dust

Hi David,

Can you emial us sales@crownetools.com and I'll make sure you get the new and improved brass tip hydro-tail.

Works great

Works great. Only reason it’s four stars instead of five is because the in-line valve leaks bad and I had to replace it.

Love the hydro-Tail! Gets water where you leaks little at the shut off vale when closed

Three different connections leaked

Three different connections leaked. Assembled poorly. Hose connection stripped before tightening.

When you know you know

I contemplated buying this .
But just using it once was all i needed to know that I had made the right decision in buying this.
I'm extremely impressed with thefunctionality . If you're on the fence, take the leap.

Definitely extends the life of everything

Definitely extends the life of everything involved. Personally it keeps most of the dust out of my face and nose. Tile wise, it reduces heat and cracking. Tool wise, it keeps the blades and bits cutting smooth longer. Site wise, quite frankly dry cutting should be illegal at this point. Don’t think about it, just buy it and do something positive for your health and surroundings.

It's great especially for your miter cuts👐👐👌

Where have you been all my career !

Hands down the best investment! No more taking apart the wet saw to steal water or renegading a dry cut @ a home owners house . Plus not to mention saving money on blades or bits wearing out so fast !

So so

It works, but it’s kind of cumbersome. I find just using asphalt wet sponge is easier. I stopped using mine.

Works but makes a mess

I would not suggest getting the hydro tail. I thought it would be nice to use when I didn’t want to use the wetsaw. But epic fail grinder throws water 20’. Get a wetsaw or use a wet sponge if you have to use the grinder.
